We need a clone of the attached program, a database reader and activation code generator with improvements

We do not know what computer language is involved and do not care
We do not have the source code

You can reverse engineer the old program and improve it or start over from scratch, your choice.

Add a control panel so we can change/update the db and the name and version number

You need to tell us exactly how, what and when you will do this
We want PROOF that you can do the job with some changes to be discussed.

We have several databases for which we want to create a reader program.

The databases are the basic contact information for legal service providers such as
Lawyers
Bankruptcy Trustees
Mediators
Process Servers

Each has to be free standing and independent of the others. DO NOT TRY TO COMBINE THEM

We would need ONE master reader program which the user installs on their own computer. The DB will not be accessible on line. only on the one users computer

1. It has to be very secure and set up to run only on ONE computer and require a short trial use period (3 or 4 uses)
then it must be registered and the person gets an activation code once installed before it will run permanently

2. The customer can search all records, but the display will show summaries of, say, up to 50 records per search
When the customer clicks on the summary that ONE record is displayed in full where they could copy and paste one record at a time

3. We want to be able to update the database from time to time ourselves. That means the old db would be removed and a new one replaces it by using a csv file which we would generate from our master records. (We use ACT!)

4. The database has to be very secure to prevent people from hacking into it and stealing the contents.

5. There will be several different databases for different categories of legal experts. We will need to be able to change the version#, the name of the program (ie Lawyers Directory or Trustees Directory ) at will
