Smart Freelancers

Before you go on I’ll be honest and tell you, I cannot afford to pay “x” / hour to do “work”. I’m more looking for someone who is passionate and interested about online video technology, earning a bit as a bonus as they learn and try new things. This project will be great to have it as portfolio work and i could personally vouch for you later.

I’m looking for on going programmer to work on my current video site search script. I’ve been working with a partner but he had to leave suddenly due to personal issues. but i have a good working script at the moment.

This will be long term on-going project, involving custom work to modifying/coding cms/extensions, and minor server management (installing codecs).

the script just searches video sites from my web site then shows the same results as you would get from searching from the original site (such as megavideo/youtube etc). the video results are embeded on my website.

Some of the work we done so far: We made direct search scripts for other video sites such as megavideo, veoh, vimeo etc. added features such as saving the flv video to hard drive or saving the video as mp3. we also made a google gadget where people can have our search box on their web site.

The script will need adjusting once a while because video sites seem to change their codes once a while, making the script unable to search for those sites.

some of the projects that could be done in the future:
- joomla integration and modules (probably do this first)
then misc works such as
- search script for other video sites
- working with jw player
- user submitted link development (module)
- even as far as development for mobile devices and desktop applications
