Smart Freelancers

Hello - we have a few websites that use calendars produced within WordPress and Joomla platforms. We are wanting to create a Desktop Widget that pulls information from the calendar one time per day.

We would design the widget graphical user interface, but need help in programming so that it PULLS the data.

1) Would we need a widget for various operating systems? (Vista, XP, Mac, Blackberry, iPhone, etc.)

2) Please tell me briefly what you would do to build (what technology) and what your estimate is.
